A realm is a layer of reality with its own stable rules.

Realms are not “topics” or “disciplines.” They are dependency layers.

A realm is defined by three things: it generates outputs that cannot exist in the realm below, it imposes constraints on everything above it, and it supplies the conditions of existence for the realms that depend on it.

Realms stack. They do not invert.

A child realm cannot outrank, override, or replace its parent realm. It can only operate inside it.

The current realm chain used in this framework is: Quantum, Physical, Biological, Conscious.

AI is treated as an output of the conscious realm.

It is not yet treated as a realm, because it does not independently maintain its own conditions of existence. It does not self-supply energy. It does not self-repair. It does not self-stabilise its environment. It is therefore not an autonomous realm. It is a dependent output.

Realms are analytical constructs. Boundaries can be drawn differently for different purposes. What matters is not boundary placement. What matters is dependency direction.
